Freshman Hannah Sullivan can always be found smiling while walking through the University of Kentucky campus. “It’s kind of hard when I’m having a bad day, but I try to be like, well, it’s not that person’s fault that I’m having a bad day, so why should I take it out on them?” This statement shows through her radiant attitude and the way she presents herself on campus. For being so young, she sees the value in not causing distress to others even though she may not feel her best. She says spreading positivity is something she makes an effort to do, “smiling at people is just what I do every day.” She says she is no stranger to others telling her she has a great personality. “I just try to make other people happy,” Sullivan says. Having a positive outlook on life makes every day a little easier. “It just creates endorphins. It’s like, in Legally Blonde like, “Endorphins make me happy,” Sullivan says that movie inspired her to want to go to law school. She is currently studying economics and plans to stick with it while also adding in political science. Sullivan is from West Virginia, but her dad went to UK for undergrad and West Virginia University for law school. “I kind of, like, followed him,” she says with a smile.
